Barricaded suspect fatally shot by Sacramento County deputies

(FOX40.COM) — A domestic violence suspect who barricaded themself inside a home in North Highlands was fatally shot by deputies with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Monday.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect was shot after he pointed a gun at the victim and threatened her.

The sheriff’s office said a victim inside the home was taken to the hospital for her injuries.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect had pushed the woman to the ground which injured her hip and left her immobile.

Homes surrounding the residence on Lund Court in North Highlands where the standoff took place had been evacuated.

The sheriff’s office said that no deputies were injured.
