SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – People packed South Lake Tahoe for the Fourth of July, with many wanting to avoid theextreme heat hitting other areas of California. Triple-digit temperatures continue to impact parts of the state, including Sacramento. That is why Sacramento resident Sharon Silvas came to South Lake Tahoe with her grandchildren to celebrate Independence Day.
