Knapp cleared waivers Saturday and was outrighted to Triple-A Sacramento. Knapp was DFA’d by the Giants just six days after he signed a major-league contract with the team Aug. 23, and he’ll now be sent to Sacramento to serve as an organizational depth piece. The 32-year-old went 1-for-6 during his time in San Francisco.
