Sacramento man, 21, killed in single-vehicle crash in Roseville, authorities say

A 21-year-old Sacramento man died in a single-car crash early Saturday morning in Roseville, police said.

Around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, Roseville Police Department officers responded to a call on Cartwright Way at Foothills Boulevard.

They found a car on fire, Police Department spokesperson Lt. Chris Ciampa said, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

There was a container of alcohol in the car, leading police to suspect the driver may have been under the influence at the time of the crash, Ciampa said. The driver’s identity had not been released as of Saturday afternoon.
