(FOX40.COM) — While conducting highway enforcement this week, deputies with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office seized around 80,000 counterfeit fentanyl pills.
After stopping a Honda CRV for a traffic violation, a search of the vehicle found seven large vacuum-sealed bags totaling 17.8 pounds, according to the sheriff’s office.
The driver, a 34-year-old Oregon woman, was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Jail and had her bail set at $1 million. She was released days later on her own recognizance.
