Traffic stop in Northern California uncovers more than 120 pounds of meth

(FOX40.COM) — A routine traffic stop on Interstate 5 led to the discovery of over 120 pounds of methamphetamine, according to the California Highway Patrol .

On Nov. 16, officers from the CHP’s Regional Enforcement of All Crimes Team pulled over a vehicle near Interstate 5 near Hood Road. During the traffic stop, officers said they observed “suspicious modifications” to the vehicle.

Arrest made in $35,000 retail theft operation in Northern California

CHP said they searched the vehicle with the help of a K9 officer and uncovered over 120 pounds of methamphetamine concealed in hidden compartments.

The driver was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Jail in connection with multiple charges.
