A recent study reveals that Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Sacramento residents face the highest risk of mold-related respiratory issues in California. Mold exposure, often overlooked, can trigger severe health problems, including chronic respiratory infections and even life-threatening lung inflammation.
Environmental research and a survey of 3,000 homeowners by Deye identified America’s 150 moldiest cities, with three California cities making the list. Los Angeles ranks 46th, with coastal humidity and poor ventilation fueling mold growth. San Francisco follows at 47th, where iconic fog and damp air put older buildings at risk. Sacramento, at 87th, contends with river proximity and periodic rainfall increasing indoor humidity.
Californians are urged to remain vigilant against this silent home invader.
