Cat lovers can now visit Davis’ first cat lounge

DAVIS, Calif. – In December, Cat Tales Feline Health Center opened Davis’ first and only cat lounge – the Tabby Tea Cat Lounge and Adoption Center .

The cat lounge is located on-site of the health center and is a safe space for cat lovers to relax and meet several cats up for adoption.

“It’s so beautiful to see people bond but we’ve also had people come in and just want to hang out,” Co-owner and veterinarian Dr. Julie Cole said.

The cat lounge also gives cats a safe and relaxing environment to roam and play with toys that they might not have in a traditional shelter.

“I visited one in Salt Lake City with my daughter and just fell in love with the concept. We have been open since the middle of December and since then we have adopted out six cats, kittens and adult cats,” Dr. Cole said.

The cat lounge is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 606 W Covell Blvd., Davis, CA 95616.

Anyone interested in adopting or spending time with the cats at the Tabby Tea Cat Lounge can reserve their spot online for $10 . The fee includes an hour in the cat lounge and a complimentary boba or coffee with all of the proceeds raised going back to local animal shelters and animal welfare groups.
