Dixon police crack down on unsafe E-Bike, E-Scooter riding

DIXON, Calif. — A local community in Solano County is intensifying its efforts to curb accidents involving electric bikes (e-bikes) and electric scooters (e-scooters) following a troubling rise in incidents, especially among teenagers.

The Dixon Police Department announced it will no longer be issuing warnings to violators. Instead, riders who fail to follow safety regulations will face citations, fines and, in some cases, the impoundment of their e-bikes and e-scooters.
