In a somber turn of events, the Citrus Heights Police Department has reported the apprehension of a domestic violence suspect following a deadly altercation. Kyron Jamar Mason, a 30-year-old Sacramento resident, was arrested after a stabbing incident that left a 28-year-old woman dead. The victim, whom officers have yet to name, was stabbed multiple times and later died from her injuries after being rushed to the hospital, according to a statement from the Citrus Heights Police Department.
Having responded to the emergency, officers arrived at a local fire station on the 7600 block of Greenback Lane where the woman had been transported by family. It was later confirmed by the authorities, sustaining multiple stab wounds, the woman died at the hospital. The suspect, Mason, had reportedly shown up at the woman’s workplace and attacked her while she was inside a vehicle. In grave condition, the family swiftly drove the victim to seek medical assistance.
Mason, who has a history of domestic violence with several restraining orders against him, oddly turned himself in at the Sacramento County main jail, where he was subsequently located by officers.
