A CALIFORNIA lawmaker has supported a bill for more transparent homeowner’s associations amid a battle with his own HOA.
He claims that a woman has been taking weekly pictures of his house and he’s been flooded with angry letters from his HOA, calling it “sheer harassment.”
Assemblymember Joe Patterson supported fellow Republican Carl DeMaio’s bill that called for HOAs in California to have recorded open meetings and disclose records like meeting agendas, meeting minutes and notices of lawsuits to the public.
