(FOX40.COM)—Sacramento’s City Auditor has released a new report on the Front Street animal shelter, which highlights overcrowding and understaffing. The 104-page audit outlines 10 key findings and 31 recommendations for improvement.
The Front Street Animal Shelter was built in 1992. Since then, Sacramento’s animal population has grown by more than 30%.
“We have 99 dog kennels,” said Phillip Zimmerman, Sacramento’s Animal Care Services Manager. “This morning we had 163 dogs on site.”…
