Sacramento’s AMF Land Park Lanes moves closer to historic landmark status

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A decades-old bowling alley in Sacramento’s South Land Park is one step closer to earning the designation of a historic landmark, a move that could prevent its demolition.

AMF Land Park Lanes, located at 5850 Freeport Boulevard, closed down in March 2024 after a fire heavily damaged the building a month before.
