“Beyond the Alleyways: The Dixieanne Story” will premiere on Thursday at The Rink Studios in North Sacramento. The short film documents the effort to transform five alleyways in the Dixieanne neighborhood into active community spaces, according to the City of Sacramento.
A free community screening will be held in partnership with the Del Paso Boulevard Partnership and PAVERART. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the 20-minute film will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by a panel discussion with project stakeholders. The film features a local project that combines public art, green landscaping, and urban renewal, led by residents, artists, and city officials.
