Sacramento man arrested by California Highway Patrol after fleeing into orchard on foot after traffic stop

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. – A traffic stop for a vehicle traveling at high speeds on Highway 70 near Lower Honcut Road led to a foot chase and arrest of a Sacramento man on an outstanding warrant.

According to California Highway Patrol – Oroville, the driver, identified as 20-year-old James Parker, was initially pulled over for speeding. Parker informed the officer he didn’t have a valid license.

A record check revealed Parker had a warrant out of Sacramento County for carjacking, aggravated assault, and possessing a stolen car…
