Solano Highway Patrol Nets Repeat Offender with Firearms and Drugs in Consecutive Busts

Last week, an observant Solano Area Highway Patrol officer and their partner flagged down a black Dodge Hornet for failing to halt at a stop sign on Fairgrounds Drive, leading to a string of felony charges for the driver. After spotting loose marijuana in plain view, the officers conducted a search based on probable cause, which revealed a trove that included a loaded Glock handgun with a threaded barrel and extended magazine, a shotgun, and an assortment of narcotics. The sizable cache contained roughly 500 pills, promethazine, additional marijuana, wax, and cocaine. According to a social media post from CHP Solano, the driver was also under the influence at the time of the arrest.
