(KRON) — The Alameda County Coroner’s Office has identified a construction worker who died while on the job at a Berkeley elementary school on Thursday.

The coroner’s office confirmed the deceased on Friday as Jonathan Dillard Guidi, 41, of Sacramento.
The Berkeley Unified School District told KRON4 that the incident happened at Sylvia Mendez Elementary School. No students or BUSD staff were on site at the time, due to ongoing construction halting summer programs, said the district.
BUSD said Guidi was working as a subcontractor on a renovation project at Sylvia Mendez. He was taken to a nearby hospital but eventually succumbed to his injuries…
