The City of Rancho Cordova has set rules for electric transportation. Class 1 and Class 3 eBikes provide pedal assistance, with speed limits of 20 MPH and 28 MPH. Class 2 eBikes can run with a throttle. Class 3 eBikes must have a speedometer, and riders must be at least 16 years old; helmets are required for riders under 18.
