Paul Thomas Anderson’s new film boosts North Coast economy with $2 million local spend

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. — Anticipation is building for Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest film, “One Battle After Another,” as Warner Bros. Pictures drops trailer number two for the film.

The movie, partially filmed on the North Coast, showcases scenes from Humboldt County and parts of Sacramento.

According to the Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission, the production itself brought in over $2 million for the area, from local cast and crew members, to hotels, restaurants and local businesses, which they say feels more like $6 million when factoring in indirect spending from members of the cast and crew of the film as they descended upon the area.
