On Tuesday the emotional lid of Sacramento’s homelessness crisis blew off during a council meeting where they voting to ban unhoused people from sleeping on City Hall.
Once the vote was made final, thunderous cries of “housing” filled the chambers. Advocates for the unhoused left screaming at the council, sharing their disappointment with their votes. They found that pushing people away from a place they use to camp.
It may appear that a 6-3 vote to prohibit sleeping on the downtown City Hall campus is a cruel action, made by some mean and ugly council…
