North Highlands Breakfast Joint Plans September Reopening Following Fire

A beloved breakfast eatery in North Highlands is making a comeback.

Pancake Palace, located at 6225 Watt Ave, has been closed since May 2024, when a fire forced the longtime restaurant to temporarily shut down. Though no one was injured, the blaze caused significant damage to both the kitchen and dining area.

Now, after months of anticipation, the team has shared a promising update on social media, along with behind-the-scenes photos of the rebuild. “We can’t wait to see you all again,” they wrote. “Quick update, all permits have finally been obtained. Construction/remodel has begun. Plans are to hopefully reopen in September. Should have a more precise date towards end of August.”…
