Suspected Grand Theft Leads to Arrests and Seizure of Drugs, “Ghost Gun” in North Sacramento

In a recent report by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office shared on social media, a grand theft at a local Home Depot has led to the arrest of two individuals on multiple felony charges. Last week, deputies from the Central Problem-Oriented Policing (POP) team were alerted to the theft of a generator, a felony offense, and through their investigation, identified a suspect vehicle associated with the crime.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the deputies’ further inquiries revealed that the stolen item was being stored in a North Sacramento storage unit following identification of that suspect vehicle near Fulton Avenue and Auburn Boulevard, they conducted a traffic stop which led to the discovery and seizure of half a pound of methamphetamine and cocaine along with then executing a search warrant at the storage facility, where they recovered not only the stolen generator but also three loaded firearms, one being an unserialized rifle often known as a “ghost gun”, and other stolen property.

Subsequently, 27-year-old Herman Arauzquinon and 31-year-old Nakia Hernandez were apprehended and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail, facing numerous felony charges. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Arauzquinon remains in custody, currently ineligible for bail, whereas Hernandez was able to post bond the following day and has since been released…
