(FOX40.COM) — Two men from Mexico, who are residing in Northern California, pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges after possessing more than 260 pounds of methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney Eric Grant announced.

The defendants, 44-year-old Felix Ortiz-Plata, from Stockton, and 29-year-old Anuar Castaneda Ortiz from Sacramento, were caught by law enforcement on Dec. 5, 2022, according to court documents. Officers stopped Castaneda Ortiz’s vehicle and discovered crystal methamphetamine packaged in 90 plastic bags in the back seat and trunk of the car.
