Rancho Cordova city officials announced that it is installing and integrating advanced tools and forging collaborations to track, respond and help solve crimes as they happen on Wednesday.

“Our Real Time Information Center, combined with high-tech tools like Flock Safety LPR cameras, is proving invaluable in fighting crime,” Rancho Cordova police chief Matthew Tamayo said. “In one recent case, we were able to track down suspects who broke into a USPS vehicle, follow their path of travel, and ultimately identify and arrest them with the help of our partners at the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
