Sacramento Man Sentenced To 20 Years In Prison For Drug And Firearm Offenses After 2023 Traffic Stop

Michael Person, who is entangled in legal issues, suffered the consequences of his misdeeds on Friday, August 22, when a Sacramento court rendered its decision. The Sacramento District Attorney’s Office said that Deputy District Attorney Megan Adame oversaw the prosecution, which resulted in Person’s conviction on multiple narcotics and firearms charges.

The person was sentenced by the Honorable Carlton Davis following a conviction for possession with intent to sell narcotics such as cocaine and fentanyl. This sentence came two years after Citrus Heights police officers conducted a traffic check on August 10, 2023, and discovered narcotics and a variety of firearms in a vehicle with Person as a passenger, including loaded handguns and two AK-47s.

The conviction included seven charges of being a criminal in possession of a handgun, casting a long shadow over Person’s already troubled past.
