FOLSOM—What began as a stolen E-bike at Folsom High School this week quickly turned into a lesson in teamwork and technology in police work, ending with two arrests and a student’s property safely returned.
On Wednesday, a student reported that their locked E-bike had been stolen from the school’s bike rack. The suspects had cut through the lock, but what they didn’t realize was that the bike was equipped with a tracking device. That technology immediately set a recovery effort in motion.
From there, multiple agencies and departments came together. School officials, School Resource Officers, detectives, patrol units, and even an outside agency air unit coordinated in real time to track the stolen bike.
