Spirit Airlines will end service at all Northern California airports next month, part of a sweeping pullback less than a week after the discount carrier filed for bankruptcy for the second time in less than a year.
The Florida-based airline confirmed it will stop flying from Oakland, San Jose and Sacramento on Oct. 2.
The Bay Area cuts are among a dozen cities Spirit is abandoning, including San Diego, Portland, Salt Lake City, Boise and Birmingham. The company is also shelving plans to launch service in Macon, Ga., later this fall…
