Sacramento woman pleads guilty to identity theft and fraud

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A Sacramento woman has pleaded guilty to bank fraud and aggravated identity theft, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. 32-year-old Monique Marie Gonzales Grado admitted to using a victim’s identity to secure loans and make fraudulent purchases.

Gonzales Grado’s scheme took place between August 7, 2022, and October 3, 2022, targeting credit unions for car and personal loans.
