Man arrested after assault on officer outside Folsom hotel

FOLSOM – Folsom Police have released details on an incident that unfolded at the Larkspur Landing Hotel, where officers were called to assist with an intoxicated individual attempting to force entry into a guest’s room.

The call came in Friday evening, Sept. 12, when a hotel guest reported using pepper spray on the subject after fearing for their safety. Officers arrived quickly and detained the man, later identified as Anthony Terra.

According to police, Terra became increasingly combative while in custody, at one point kicking an officer during the incident. As officers transported him to the Sacramento County Jail, he began banging his head against the patrol car window. A supervisor responded to assist, and officers safely placed Terra in a restraint device. During this process, he attempted to headbutt an officer, but because officers had already placed a protective helmet on him, no injuries occurred…
