Rancho Cordova Police Seize Methamphetamine and Fentanyl in Proactive Patrol Bust, Suspect Arrested

In a recent proactive patrol in Rancho Cordova, the local Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit (CSU) made a notable discovery. CSU personnel observed a suspicious vehicle parked outside a closed storage complex, leading to a search that uncovered illegal substances including methamphetamine and fentanyl. Rancho Cordova Police Department’s social media post detailed the arrest, listing the items found: “approximately 1.5 ounces of methamphetamine and fentanyl combined, an operable digital scale, multiple empty small clear plastic bags, and approximately $1,230 in U.S. currency in various denominations.”

The vehicle’s driver was already on felony searchable probation for possession of a controlled substance for sale. During the search conducted based on the driver’s probation status, CSU personnel claimed a backpack, which led to the discovery of the drugs and related paraphernalia. The passenger claimed ownership of the backpack and was arrested for possession for sales of a controlled substance and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail…
