Citrus Heights Police response to reported gunfire leads to San Juan High shelter in place

By Sara Beth Williams– — Police activity near Greenback Lane led to a brief shelter-in-place Monday afternoon at San Juan High School, after officers received reports of gunshot allegedly fired inside a nearby tattoo parlor.

According to Sgt. Carrie Foot with the Citrus Heights Police Department, officers were dispatched after witnesses reported that a customer had entered a tattoo shop and allegedly fired a shot. After clearing the interior, officers interviewed witnesses at the scene but were unable to identify a suspect. No firearm was recovered, and no injuries were reported.
