Starbucks Shuts Down Multiple Sacramento Area Stores Amidst Nationwide Closures

In a wave of nationwide closures by the coffee behemoth Starbucks, Northern California has been particularly hard hit, with numerous locations shuttered across the state, including several in the Sacramento area. As per the details reported by ABC10, at least four Sacramento Starbucks stores are confirmed to cease their operations after Saturday, joining hundreds of other closures across the United States and Canada.

This recent decision by Starbucks to broadly downsize its North American presence has moved swiftly into action, but without disclosing an exact number of affected stores. Amidst this silence, outlets like Business Insider have taken to compiling a list, which is by no means exhaustive, by corroborating staff accounts and utilizing Starbucks’ “store locator” feature. The Sacramento area will say goodbye to locations on Truxel & Natomas, Arden & Markston, Fulton & Cottage, and The UV. Additional closures are set for Davis, Modesto, Gold River, and Auburn. A posted notice on the door of the Truxel and Natomas store communicated the company’s message to their patrons, stating, “We know this may be hard to hear – because this isn’t just any store.
