Natalie’s Law: Sacramento Girl Scout addresses rising dangers of extreme heat for CA children

(FOX40.COM) —  A Girl Scout Cadette from Sacramento, Natalie Rubio, 12, is championing legislation to address the dangers of extreme heat for children in California with “Natalie’s Law: Student Heat Illness Recognition and Response Education.”

The proposal requests that all public and charter schools in the state provide interactive lessons each year that teach students how to recognize the signs of heat illnesses and when to seek help from adults.
