The California Department of Fish and Wildlife meets Wednesday and Thursday October 8 and 9 in Sacramento. Amongst the many items on the the agenda for the two day meeting are a request for a six-month extension to deliver the one-year status review report on the petition to list the western burrowing owl as a threatened or endangered species under the California Environmental Protection Act (CEQA), a recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and reports on fauna such as the pacific pocket mouse, wild trout, marine resources, and a meeting of the tribal committee.
