ELK GROVE, Calif. — An Elk Grove education center will start laying off 166 employees mere days before Thanksgiving, per a notice filed with the state.
Point Quest Inc., a special education services provider, will lay off the 166 behavioral aides beginning Nov. 22 due to an unexpected termination of school district contracts, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed last month with California’s Employment Development Department.
