Sacramento Mayor’s ‘Six-Point Plan’ on Homelessness
The city of Sacramento is charting a new path to address the ongoing crisis of homelessness. Last month, the city council voted to approve a “six-point plan” which includes new tiny home villages, safe camping and parking sites, as well as permanent supportive housing. This also comes as the city welcomes Maraskeshia Smith as its new permanent city manager, and Sacramento continues to face budgetary challenges.
