Sacramento approves 90 new speed lumps to slow drivers, protect neighborhoods

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento neighborhoods could soon get a little bumpier. The City Council has approved 90 new speed lumps across 24 streets to slow drivers and reduce crashes, costing just over half a million dollars.

Four of the streets are in North Natomas. Club Center Drive, between both ends of Danbrook Way, will get seven speed lumps. Councilmember Lisa Kaplan said the area’s crashes hit close to home.

“Club Center is one of those locations of which many people know we lost two grandpas last year and a teacher was hit and severely injured.” Kaplan said…
