(FOX40.COM) — A once vacant corner in South Natomas is now becoming a place for play and community.
Thelma Park is the new spot for families to enjoy on Thelma and Hawk Avenues. The 0.23-acre park includes a shaded playground, picnic area and benches.
“Thelma Park shows what’s possible when we invest in our neighborhoods and listen to the community,” Vice Mayor Karina Talamantes, who represents the area, said. “It’s exciting to see this vacant lot transformed into a space where families can play.”…
