‘Sophisticated’ Crew Suspected In $1M Jewelry Heist Allegedly Caught Red-Handed In New Heist

Authorities in California say an “extremely organized” Colombian crime ring behind a brazen million-dollar jewelry heist last month was caught red-handed in another attempted heist early Thursday.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said 49-year-old Sandro Torres-Morales, 41-year-old Orlando Goyeneche-Sanchez, 49-year-old Miguel Osorio-Castaneda, and 25-year-old Melany Pascagoula-Correa were arrested at a jewelry store in Lodi on Thursday following weeks of surveillance.
