Stockton Man Arrested by Vallejo Police for Attempted Murder Following Intense Pursuit in Sacramento Area

The Vallejo Police Department recently apprehended 34-year-old DeShawn Michael Cochise Pollard, a suspect from Stockton, in connection with an attempted murder that occurred last Thursday. The incident, which took place on the 100 block of Forest Ridge Drive, resulted in an adult female victim sustaining a life-threatening gunshot wound; she was later reported to be in critical condition after being transported to the hospital, according to the Vallejo Police Department.

Vallejo Police confirmed the victim’s injuries upon arrival at the medical facility and the department’s Problem-Oriented Policing Team quickly took charge of the investigation, identifying Pollard as the suspect through evidence, initiating an arrest warrant for attempted murder and illegal firearm possession. After being located in the Sacramento area, a pursuit last Saturday led to his arrest when the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office engaged, resulting in a non-fatal collision.
