Sacramento police say they have arrested an 18-year-old in connection with the Meadowview shooting that left a man dead on Oct. 16. Officers took Davian Sida into custody and booked him into the Sacramento County Main Jail on homicide-related charges, as per the Sacramento Police Department.
In a press release, the Sacramento Police Department said investigators identified and arrested 18-year-old Davian Sida of Sacramento and credited patrol officers, crime scene investigators, homicide detectives and an apprehension team for the arrest. The department also posted the update on social media via the Sacramento Police Departmen update, which repeated that Sida was booked on homicide-related charges into the Sacramento County Main Jail.
What happened in Meadowview
Officers responded just before 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 16 to reports of a shooting in the 2400 block of Meadowview Road, where they found an adult male with at least one gunshot wound and lifesaving efforts failed, according to KCRA 3. The Sacramento County Coroner later identified the victim as 21-year-old Matthew Anderson, per CBS Sacramento.
