A judge on Friday sentenced a man to 75 years to life in prison for a deadly shooting three years ago at a homeless encampment in Sacramento where he killed a man his girlfriend was dating, prosecutors said.
Sacramento Superior Court Judge Kenneth Brody sentenced Kenneth Eugene Howe, 44, for the death of Amadon Estrada, the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office said Monday in a news release.
Prosecutors said a jury on July 31 found Howe guilty of first-degree murder, along with an enhancement for using a gun to cause death. Howe had a previous conviction of molestation considered a strike under California’s “Three Strikes” law…
