Convicted Felon Arrested After South Sacramento Standoff, Multiple Firearms and Narcotics Charges Laid

Yesterday’s standoff in South Sacramento ended with the arrest of a convicted felon after Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call. According to a post on the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, 32-year-old Duke Van Le, armed with two handguns, was threatening family members at a residence on Daylight Court, and it was his parents and a 6-year-old niece who were at risk before they were safely evacuated from the scene.

Multiple law enforcement agencies, including Elk Grove Police and CHP, worked together to end the situation peacefully. Officers acted quickly, using an armored Bearcat vehicle to secure the area.
