Sacramento Residents Can Now Access Free Legacy Planning Services Through City Program

The City of Sacramento has launched a free Legacy Planning service through its Financial Empowerment Center (FEC). The program is intended to help residents protect their assets and plan for the future. It is offered in partnership with the national nonprofit Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund (CFE Fund), which supports similar programs in over 145 cities and counties in the United States.

Residents can receive one-on-one support to create wills, add beneficiaries to financial accounts, and prepare documents such as powers of attorney. Amy Williamson, the City’s Financial Empowerment Manager, said these services are important for Sacramento residents who want to plan for the future.
