Officials are investigating an assault on two officers Saturday evening at California State Prison in Sacramento.
A press release from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said a 48-year-old incarcerated person allegedly attacked the officers with an improvised weapon at about 7 p.m. Saturday during a cell search.
