One person hospitalized, Fruitridge Road closed as crews respond to chemical leak

(FOX40.COM) — One person was hospitalized, and roads have been closed early Tuesday morning as authorities respond to a chemical leak.

According to the Sacramento Fire Department, a forklift hit a pressure relief valve with a large scale of ammonia.

Fruitridge Road was closed but has since reopened. Florin Perkins Road at Unsworth Avenue remains closed as crews continue to investigate.

It was confirmed that at least one person was hospitalized for respiratory injuries…
