Denny’s restaurant shuts its doors for good after 72-year-old chain is forced to sell all 1,300 locations

DENNY’S has officially sold off its entire restaurant empire and closed one of its California diners, ending a 72-year run for the all-day breakfast chain.

The Denny’s in Sacramento‘s Orangevale is among the latest casualties, with a notice on the shop’s door confirming the shutdown.

It read: “While we have made the difficult decision to close our doors, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible community that gathered around our tables and made our time together so special.”

Customers who used to go to the Greenback Lane branch are now being directed to a nearby Denny’s in Newcastle…
