The City of Sacramento has released a progress report on its efforts to address homelessness from October 20 to November 2, 2025. During this period, the City’s Incident Management Team (IMT) received 623 calls to the 311 customer service line about unsheltered individuals. These calls resulted in 2,293 cases being opened. One call can generate multiple cases. The ‘cases opened’ metric was introduced in July 2025 to track the City’s response activities.
City staff closed 2,619 cases during the reporting period. This means the issues were resolved, compliance was achieved, or the concerns no longer existed after inspection. Outreach efforts included enrolling 120 people into local databases to connect them with shelters and resources.
