Rodents, roaches & ‘black slime’ at Sacramento restaurants. See latest inspections

Sacramento County health inspectors closed two local coffee shops, a Mexican restaurant and a fried chicken joint for food safety violations ranging from cockroaches to rodent droppings.

Health inspectors also closed a dining hall and a Vietnamese restaurant after discovering roaches, “slimy debris” and other issues.

In addition, a dozen food-serving facilities received yellow placards for a variety of health code violations including flies, food debris and improperly stored meat. These included El Pollo Loco, Taco Bell and Mountain Mike’s Pizza locations…
