Benjamin Levy, 67, is a bus operator for Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT). He served 23 years in the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant and aircraft electrician. After his military service, Levy moved from New York to Sacramento, a city he became familiar with during his deployments. He decided to stay in Sacramento after retiring from the Air Force.
Levy began working in public transit after seeing a bus enter the Elk Grove yard. He asked about job openings and chose to become a driver instead of a mechanic. This decision allowed him to work with motor vehicles, something he had wanted since childhood. Before joining SacRT in 2019, he worked for Cessna Aircraft in Sacramento.
